Hey There! Thanks for playing one of my Games. I am just a Solo Indie Dev making games for fun, so I'll keep this as plain and honest as I can. No legalese walls, just straight talk about your data and how I handle it.

This policy covers all games and apps I publish under The Toasted Dev / Toasted Dev on Google Play and Steam.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Who Am I and What Do I Collect?

I am The Toasted Dev - Solo Indie Developer. If you ever need to reach me, you can at The Toasted Dev Support Email.

My games are either Free & ad-Supported or paid, which means ads run in them. I don't personally collect much, but here is what may be gathered automatically:

Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
The pages or screens within the Application you visit, along with the time, date, and duration of your visits
Total time spent within the Application
The operating system and device type you are using

That is pretty much it. I don't track your precise location, I don't build profiles on you, and I do not use any AI to process any of your data.

2. THIRD-PARTY ACCESS AND ADVERTISING

Because my games show ads, third-party ad services like Unity Ads may collect data about your device to show you relevant ads. I do not control what they collect; that is on them. However, I do have their privacy policies if you would like to see for yourself.

I may also share your info if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect someone's safety. I won't sell your data, that's just not something I am interested in doing!

As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
When disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Service Provider, its users, or the public;
To trusted service providers who work on the Service Provider's behalf, are bound by this Privacy Policy, and have no independent right to use the disclosed information.

3. OPT-OUT RIGHTS

Want to stop all data collection? Just uninstall the game. That does the trick. You can also turn off ad personalization in your device settings if you'd prefer generic ads.

4. DATA RETENTION POLICY

How long is data kept? Only as long as needed. If you want me to delete anything tied to you, just shoot me an email at Support Email, and I will take care of it.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

My games aren't directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from kids under 13. If you are a parent and think your child has accidentally shared any personal info through one of my games, please contact me immediately at Support Email, and I will delete it right away!

6. SECURITY

I like my security and respect others' security, and that is why I take reasonable steps to protect your info; however, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. I will always do my best to keep it secure.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

If I update this policy, and I will eventually! I will change the effective date at the top. Continuing to use my games after a change means you are cool with the changes. You are responsible for keeping up to date with these policies, so from time to time, just check them out and see if they have been changed. I'll always keep this written in plain English, so it is easy to follow!

By downloading and using any of my games, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, including any updates made over time.

The Short Version

Download my games, play them, enjoy them. Don't try to copy, reverse engineer, or rip them apart. That's pretty much it!

My Stuff Is My Stuff

All the code, art, music, and trademarks in my games belong to me. Please don't copy, modify, translate, or create derivatives of my work without permission (who knows, I may give you my permission, just ask).

Ad Supported & Free

My games on Google Play are mostly free-to-play and supported by ads. I may at some point offer optional paid content; if I do, it'll be clearly labeled and never surprise you!

Paid Games On Steam

My games on Steam are paid. Here is what's different for those:

No Ads. Paid Steam games do not run ads or ad tracking services. Your data is much more minimal as a result.
Payments. I never see or handle your payment info. Steam processes all purchases directly. See Steam's privacy policy for details: Steam.
Steam collects its own data. Steam tracks things like playtime, achievements, and library info on their end. That's Steam's data, not mine. Check their policy above for the full picture.
Refunds. Steam's standard refund policy applies to my games (generally 2 hours or less playtime / 14 days or less from purchase). You can request refunds directly through Steam.

Internet & Data Costs

Some features need an internet connection. If you are on mobile data, your carrier's normal rates do apply. I can't cover your data bill. I am Sorry!

Device Stuff

Keep your device charged and secure. I can't be held responsible if your phone dies mid-game or if something goes wrong because you've rooted or jailbroken your device(it can cause games to misbehave)

Keep your PC in a safe location and beware of the risks of power outages. Again, I can not be held responsible if your computer crashes or short-circuits while playing my games, and I am sorry if it does! That has happened to me, and it's not fun!

Updates & Shutdowns

I'll try to keep my games up to date and regularly updated, but I can't promise they'll work forever on every OS version. If I ever have to shut a game down, I will give notice where I can. I reserve the right to modify or discontinue any game at any time. If I shut down your favorite game from me, I am sorry, please forgive me!

If I update the terms, the date at the top of the page will change. Keep an eye on it if you are curious; it will change once in a while. Continued use does = acceptance, so be aware.
